Suresh Bags

Suresh Bags is located right in the middle of Zaveri Bazar at Sham Shetal. If you know this area, you know how packed the streets get every single afternoon. It’s always noisy and full of energy, which keeps us on our toes. We’ve been working out of this spot for years now. Our space isn't huge, but we pack it with as many bags as we can possibly fit on the shelves. Sometimes it's hard to move around when we get a big delivery of new items. We mostly sell to people who work in the bazaar or shoppers coming through for jewelry. It’s a fast-paced environment and we’ve gotten used to the hustle. I usually open the shutters early because the market starts moving before most people are even awake. We carry all sorts of stuff, mostly practical things people use every day for their commute or errands. We aren't trying to be a designer boutique or anything like that. We’re just a regular shop in a very busy part of town. The dust from the street gets in sometimes, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the shelves and the floor. It’s a lot of manual work but it's okay. My nephew helps out on the weekends when things get really hectic with the crowds. We don't have a corporate office or anything. Just this one room filled with inventory and a small desk for the bills and the tea cups.
