Suraj Engineering Works

We are located at number 1 in Bhandup West. It’s a small shop, but we pack a lot of equipment into it. Suraj Engineering Works has been around this part of town for a long time. People know the sound of our grinders and welders. We do a lot of heavy lifting and metal fabrication. It’s a noisy environment, but that’s how you know we are working. We don't have a big staff, just a few guys who really know their way around a lathe. The floor is concrete and usually covered in metal shavings. We take on all sorts of jobs, from small repairs to bigger structural pieces. Being in Bhandup West is convenient for us because most of our suppliers are close by. We don't spend money on fancy logos or brochures. Most of our work comes from people walking in or calling because a neighbor recommended us. We keep things simple and honest. If a job is going to take three days, we tell you three days. We aren't perfect, and sometimes the machines break down, but we always find a way to fix them. It’s a gritty job, and our hands are rarely clean. We like the feeling of finishing a piece of work that’s solid and well-made. Every evening we lock up the shutters and head home, ready to do it again the next day. It is just a basic workshop where we try to do right by the people who come to us.
