Sunny General Stores

Sunny General Stores has been sitting here at 24/J/9 on Trombay Ring Road for quite a while now. It gets really dusty with all the traffic passing by in Surat, but you get used to it after a few years. Most mornings start early because the neighbors need things before they head to work. We just keep the shelves filled with whatever people ask for most. It’s not a fancy place, just a room with a bunch of boxes and crates stacked up near the door. Sometimes the fans don't move the air enough when the sun is hitting the front of the shop directly. We spend a lot of time just chatting with whoever walks in. It’s funny how you start to know everyone’s schedule just by when they come in for milk or some soap. The road outside is always busy, especially during the rush hours when the bikes are everywhere. We try to keep things organized, but in a small space like this, stuff tends to pile up in the corners. It’s just how it goes here. There’s always someone stopping by to ask for directions or just to escape the heat for a minute. We don't have a big team or anything, just a couple of us making sure everything is in its place. It’s a simple life on this side of Surat, and we’ve seen the area change a lot from our spot here. We just take it one day at a time.
