Sujata Engineering Works

Our workshop is Unit C-12, located inside the Small Industries Co-Operative Estate on I.B. Patel Road in Goregaon East. It’s a fairly typical industrial estate where everyone knows their neighbors. We’ve been here for a long time, doing different engineering jobs that come our way. The space is filled with lathes and drills, and there is usually a layer of metal shavings on the floor by the end of the shift. We aren’t the type to have a fancy website or a glossy brochure. If you want to know what we do, you just have to come by and look at the projects we are currently working on. We take in small batches and sometimes one-off pieces that the bigger shops won't touch. It’s mostly just us and a few workers who have been doing this for decades. We don’t have a formal dress code; we just wear what’s comfortable for getting dirty. Goregaon East has changed quite a bit with all the new buildings, but this industrial estate stays pretty much the same. We like the routine of coming in, turning on the machines, and seeing a job through to the end. Sometimes a part takes longer than expected to finish, but we’d rather do it right than rush it through the process. It's just a regular engineering shop where we value practical skills over anything else.
