Star Diamond Tools

Our place is number 12 in the Ujagar Industrial Estate on W.T. Patil Marg. Being in an industrial estate means there is always noise from the neighboring units, but we do not mind. Star Diamond Tools is where we spend our days working on various cutting and grinding tools. We use industrial diamonds for these, so it is a lot of technical work. The space is not very big, so we have to be careful with how we store everything. The machines take up most of the room. We have a few guys who have been with us since we started at this location. We do not do a lot of fancy advertising because word of mouth usually keeps us busy enough. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we spend the whole day fixing it instead of producing anything. That is just part of life in an industrial park. We try to get the orders out on time, but sometimes things happen. W.T. Patil Marg is a busy road, so getting materials in and out can be a bit of a challenge with the traffic. We just keep doing what we have been doing for years. It is about getting the grit right and making sure the tools are tough enough for the construction sites they end up on. We do not have any big corporate goals; we just want to keep the shop running and our customers satisfied with what they buy.
