Sri Balaji Engineering Works

Sri Balaji Engineering Works has been tucked away in Gala No. 1 over at Gautam Silk Compound for a good while now. If you know Jai Prakash Nagar, you know Road No. 2 can get a bit crowded near Swati Studio, but we manage. Our shop isn't fancy or anything. It's just a place where we get our hands dirty every day. We handle a lot of different engineering jobs right here in Goregaon West. Most days it’s just the sound of metal hitting metal and the smell of grease. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. People mostly find us because they live nearby or someone told them we can fix what they need. The space is a bit tight with all the tools and parts lying around, but we know where everything is. We started out small and stayed that way because it works for us. It’s a lot of manual work and checking things twice. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a mess, but the work inside doesn't stop. We usually have tea around four and then get back to finishing whatever is on the bench. It is a simple life here in the compound. We don’t have a big office with air conditioning, just a fan that makes a lot of noise and a desk covered in papers. That is how we have always done things at Sri Balaji.
