S.R.Engineering Works

S.R.Engineering Works is at number 10, Vikas Sadan in Sahyadri Nagar. We are right opposite Dr. Pandeshwar’s place on Quarry Road. It’s a bit of a landmark for people trying to find us. The shop isn't very large, so we have to keep things organized or we’d never find anything. Quarry Road is always busy with people going back and forth, and we see a lot of the local life from our front door. We do a lot of small-scale engineering work. It’s mostly just us and our tools. The walls have calendars from five years ago still hanging up because nobody bothered to take them down. We have a small bench for the heavy work and a sink in the back that always leaks a little. It’s the kind of place where you know exactly where every wrench is, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. Sahyadri Nagar is a good neighborhood, and we’ve been part of it for a long time. We know the other shop owners and the people who live in the apartments nearby. Sometimes the noise from our grinding gets a bit much, but nobody complains too loud. We try to get the work finished on time so we can go home and rest. It’s hard work, but it’s steady. We don’t need anything fancy to get the job done right, just some decent steel and a bit of patience when a machine gets stubborn.
