We’ve been here at Vishwakarma Bhuvan on S. G. Marg for a while now. Most people around Dadar know the spot since it’s right on Gokhale Road. It’s a busy corner of Mumbai, and things move fast. We spend most of our mornings just getting everything sorted on the shelves before the first crowd comes in. It gets pretty packed during the evenings when everyone is heading home from work and realizes they forgot something for dinner. We don't really do anything fancy. It’s just us stocking what people need like rice, flour, and the usual household things. Some days the truck arrives late because of the traffic on the main road, and we have to rush to unload it. The building itself is an old landmark, so we try to keep things tidy inside. We know a lot of the faces that walk through the door by name because they live just around the corner in the neighborhood. It’s noisy outside with the honking, but inside we just focus on the task at hand. There’s always someone checking the expiration dates or rearranging the biscuit section. It’s a job that keeps us on our feet all day. We don't have a big corporate speech to give. We just open the doors, keep the lights on, and make sure there’s enough stock for the next person who walks in looking for their weekly supplies. That’s pretty much the daily life here at Spencers.
