We work out of the New Tejpal Industrial Estate, which is located on the Andheri Kurla Road in Sakinaka, Mumbai. The unit number is 1/111, and it can be a little tricky to find because the estate is quite large and full of different businesses. Sakinaka is always packed with traffic, so there is a constant sound of horns and engines outside our door. The air in the estate usually smells like oil and metal, which I guess is normal for an engineering place like ours. At Spartan Engineering Industries Pvt Ltd, we have a lot of drawings and metal parts scattered around the workspace. It’s not a shiny corporate office by any means; it’s more of a practical workshop where things actually get built. The floor is concrete and we’ve got some old wooden desks for the paperwork side of things. Mumbai summers are really tough here because the building traps the heat, so we keep the windows open as much as we can. We have a small group of staff who have been here for years, and we all just kind of know the routine. It’s a lot of manual work and technical checking throughout the day. We don't have any big signs or fancy lights, just a small nameplate at the entrance. It’s just an honest, busy engineering spot in one of the loudest parts of the city where we try to get through the work orders.
