Sparco Tour & Travels

If you walk down towards Santacruz West, you'll find us at Bamboo House. It’s a well-known spot in the neighborhood, though the building itself has a lot of character, to put it mildly. Sparco Tour & Travels has been operating out of this room for some time. We’ve got a few desks pushed against the walls and a ceiling fan that makes a bit of a clicking noise if we turn it up too high. The day usually begins with a lot of phone calls coming in from people who are planning their vacations or just need a car for the weekend. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with uniforms or scripted greetings. We just talk to people like we talk to our neighbors. The desk is usually covered in sticky notes and half-empty water bottles. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. Santacruz is a lively place, and being at Bamboo House puts us right where the action is. Sometimes someone will pop their head in just to ask for directions, and we don't mind that at all. We handle the paperwork, make the calls, and try to keep things organized despite the constant noise from the street outside. It’s a practical way of doing things, and it keeps us busy from morning until we close up for the night. We don't need much more than a working phone and a decent chair to get through the day.
