S.P. Engineering

S.P. Engineering is over in the Universal Industrial Estate, specifically at unit number 47. You have to take I. B. Patel Road in Goregaon East to get to us. It’s a typical industrial estate, which means there is always some kind of noise from machines or someone loading a truck. Our workshop is full of tools and metal scraps. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but it’s an engineering shop, so you shouldn't expect it to be. We spend most of our time at the workbenches or dealing with the machines. It’s dusty and there is usually a faint smell of oil in the air. We’ve been in Goregaon for a long time. The space is a bit cramped now because we’ve gathered so much gear over the years. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever orders are in for the week. There’s a small desk where we handle the billing and the phone calls, but most of the action happens on the floor. It can get pretty hot in the summer, but we have some fans going. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they’ve seen our sign in the estate. We don't do much in the way of promotion. We just focus on the parts we're making. It’s a simple, hardworking environment where things actually get built.
