Southern Tourist

Our place, Southern Tourist, is located at Mandvi No 56. Mandvi is a really crowded area with lots of wholesale shops and narrow lanes where you have to dodge handcarts all the time. Our office is right in the middle of all that chaos. It’s a simple setup with a couple of benches for people to sit on while they wait. We mostly handle travel arrangements for people going down south or just general trips across the country. The walls are a bit bare and the fan makes a clicking noise that we’ve just learned to ignore over the years. We spend a lot of time on the phone with bus operators and local transporters, trying to make sure the timings are actually correct. Sometimes the schedules change without us being told, and then we have to spend the afternoon making apologies and re-booking everything. It’s not a fancy job by any means, but it keeps us on our toes. We don’t use any big slogans or try to look bigger than we are. We’re just a local travel office where you can come in, have a glass of water, and get your travel plans sorted without too much fuss. Most of our customers are regulars who live or work nearby and know exactly who we are. We just keep going, day after day, in this little corner of Mandvi. It is noisy and hectic but that is just the way things are here.
