Sonabai Hall

You can find us on the first floor of Khja Palace in Bandra West, right near the Sakinaka area and the Elco Market. It’s a busy part of town, so finding parking can be a real headache around here. The hall itself has been around for some time. We’ve seen all sorts of things happen here—weddings, small parties, and even some local meetings. The stairs going up are a bit steep, so people have to take their time. Inside, the space is open and we just set up chairs based on what’s needed for the day. It’s not a five-star place or anything like that. The paint is a little old in the corners and the curtains have been there for a few years. But it’s a functional space that gets the job done for the families nearby. Being near Elco Market means there’s always noise coming from the street, but once the music starts inside, you don’t notice it as much. We spend a lot of time moving furniture around and making sure the lights work. It’s a lot of physical work, especially after a big event when everything needs to be cleared out fast. We just try to keep the place ready for whoever needs it next. It’s a local hall for local people, and we like it that way.
