Smit Chitra Tours & Travels is located at 9 Dadar West. Being near the Parel St Bus Depot means there is always a lot of movement around our door. We spend our days arranging trips and looking after our vehicles. It's a small office, nothing too grand, but it gets the job done. People come in looking to go out of town or just needing a ride for the day. Dadar is a crowded spot, so parking and managing the fleet can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We try to keep our cars in good shape and the drivers know the city streets like the back of their hands. It gets noisy with the buses nearby, but we like being in the middle of it all. Sometimes we’re stuck on the phone for hours fixing schedules when someone cancels or the traffic is heavy. That’s just how the travel business goes in Mumbai. We don't use fancy booking systems, just our notebooks and a few computers. It’s a family-run kind of feel here. We’ve lived and worked around Parel for a long time, so we know the shortcuts and the best times to leave to avoid the worst jams. It's simple work—helping people get from one place to another without too much trouble. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us making sure everything runs okay. Most days are long, but we enjoy the chat with travelers. We usually have a pot of tea going in the corner for anyone who stops by to book a car.
