Up here on the fourth floor of Shiva 2 in Rahija Complex, we do a lot of tool work and basic engineering stuff. Sm Tool And Engineering is basically just a few of us who know our way around machinery. Malad East is a busy spot, and being in Block A means we see a lot of foot traffic in the hallway. We've been at this address for a good bit now. Most of the time, the floor is covered in metal shavings or bits of drawings we're working on. It’s not the quietest office because of the tools, but it works for what we do. People usually come to us when they have a part that needs fixing or something custom they need made for a project. We aren't a massive factory, just a small shop where we handle things manually. Sometimes it takes a little longer if we have a lot of jobs lined up, but we try to be clear about that. We don't use big words or try to act like a corporate office. We’re just engineers and technicians who like fixing things. The Rahija Complex can be a bit confusing to navigate if it’s your first time, but No 404 is right there once you get off the lift. We’re usually here early and stay late if a deadline is coming up. It’s a decent place to work and we know the neighbors well. We usually have the radio on while we work.
