Siyaram Travels

Siyaram Travels operates out of Shop 4 in Bhoomi Apartment, which is right in the heart of Kandivali West. We’re pretty easy to find if you’re near Dahanukarwadi. The shop is small, mostly taken up by two desks and a wall full of old travel posters that have started to fade a bit at the edges. We’ve been here for years, dealing with bus bookings and train tickets for people in the neighborhood. The phone rings a lot, usually someone asking about timings or if a particular seat is available on the night bus. It gets quite warm in the afternoons because the sun hits the front glass directly. We keep a small water cooler in the corner for anyone waiting. There’s always a stack of ledgers and registers on the counter since we still like to write things down by hand sometimes. It feels more reliable than just trusting a screen. The floor is just plain tiles that we sweep every morning before opening the shutters. Parking out front can be a bit of a nightmare during peak hours, so most of our regulars just walk over from the nearby buildings. It’s a straightforward business. We just sit here, check the schedules on the computer, and help people get to where they need to go. There’s no fancy waiting lounge or anything, just a couple of plastic chairs for whoever drops in.
