Pramod Leather Industry

We are set up at stall number 88 in Indramarket, which is part of the Adarsh area in Sion. It’s a small stall, but we manage to fit everything we need inside the space. Pramod Leather Industry is the name printed on the sign out front. We deal with leather goods mostly. People passing by the market often stop to look at what’s hanging on the racks. It’s a bit cramped in here when we have a lot of new stock arriving. We spend the mornings cleaning the dust off the items because the market air is quite dirty. The market gets very crowded in the afternoons. We handle everything ourselves from selling to the final packing. Sometimes we have to fix a buckle or a strap right there while the customer waits on the sidewalk. We don’t have a big fancy office with chairs. It’s just the stall and some storage boxes in the back. We’ve been in Sion for a good while now. The neighbors in the other stalls are friendly enough and we talk a lot. We discuss the weather or the price of leather supplies. Working in a market means you see all kinds of people every day. We just try to stay organized so we can find things when someone asks for a specific color. It gets dark early in the winter. We open up early and close when the market shuts.
