Saad The Leather House

You can find us at Shop No 5 in Issa Suleman Chawl, right across from the Dharavi Pump House. We are on the ground floor on 7th Main, near Esi Hospital Road in Hal 2nd Stage. This part of Dharavi is always full of activity, especially with all the leather work happening around here. Saad The Leather House is a straightforward place. We have rolls of leather and finished goods sitting around the shop. It smells like leather in here all the time, which is something you get used to pretty quickly. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful about how we stack things. We spend most of our time cutting, stitching, or just talking to people who walk in off the street. We don't do any big marketing campaigns or have a social media person. We just rely on the quality of what we make and the fact that people know where to find us. The floor is concrete, the lights are basic, and we have a few old machines that we keep running. It’s a lot of hard work, especially when the weather gets hot, but we’ve been doing this for a long time. We aren't a big corporation, just a local shop trying to make a living in a busy neighborhood. People come here because they know we are honest about what we sell.
