We’re over at Everest Apartments, number 63. It’s just off Mount Pleasant Road. Sovereign Leather Innovators Pvtltd is our small operation. It’s more of an apartment turned into an office, so it feels quite lived-in. We have samples of leather tucked into corners and stacks of orders on the table. It isn't the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is. The neighborhood is quiet compared to the main roads. We like that. It lets us focus on what we're doing without too much noise. We spend a lot of time looking at materials and talking to suppliers. It’s a lot of back and forth. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing. We’re just a few people trying to make a go of it. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to make stuff that people actually want to buy. Most of our day is spent checking quality and making sure things are being sent out on time. It’s not always easy, and we make mistakes sometimes. But we try to fix them quickly. If you're coming to see us, the parking can be a bit of a headache. It's better to take a cab. We’re usually around from Monday to Friday, except for the occasional day when we have to visit the workshops. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know how to do best. We've been here long enough that the postman knows us by name.
