Simply Offbeat

Simply Offbeat is based in Ghatkopar East, specifically at 2nd Stage, 100 Feet Road, in the C-506 unit. It is a decent location, though the traffic on the 100 Feet Road can be a real headache during the rush hour. I spend a lot of my time here looking for places that aren't the usual crowded tourist traps. The name of the business kind of gives away what I enjoy, but the day-to-day work is still very much about the basics. It is about making sure hotels are actually there and that the drivers show up on time. The office is on an upper floor, so it is a bit quieter than the street level, which I appreciate. I have a few plants on the windowsill that I struggle to keep alive, and a map of India pinned to the wall with some notes scribbled on the margins. I usually work by myself or with one other person, so it is a very quiet environment. We don't have a big receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you are basically walking right into the workspace. I spend a lot of time on the phone, often repeating the same information to different people, but I try to stay patient. It’s not a glamorous job, but I like the puzzle of putting a trip together. Most of my customers are locals from Ghatkopar who have been coming to me for years.
