Our office is on the fifth floor, covering units 510 and 512 in the A Wing. Chembur is always moving, and being near the main roads means there is a constant hum of traffic. The office itself is quite functional. We have a lot of desks pushed together and shelves full of old files and project reports. Being land developers in Mumbai means a lot of back-and-forth with different departments. We spend a good chunk of our time here just going through documents or sitting in meetings. Shrikant Chambers has a lot of other businesses too, so the hallways are usually full of people. The tea lady comes by twice a day, which is something we all look forward to. It’s not a super modern office with fancy gadgets; it’s more of a place where real work happens. We have maps of various plots pinned to the walls. Sometimes we stay late when a project is at a critical stage, watching the lights of Chembur from the fifth-floor windows. It’s a decent place to work, even if the parking downstairs is always a nightmare. We’ve been here for a while and have gotten used to the quirks of the building, the elevators, and the people around us.
