We are located in the C G S Colony in Deonar. It is on the ground floor, specifically Room No 7. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main roads. Shubham Travel Agency has been running out of this room for a while. We have neighbors living all around us since it is a residential colony. People walk by with their groceries while we are talking about train tickets or bus routes. It doesn’t feel like a big corporate office because it isn’t. It is just a room where we have a couple of chairs and a desk. Sometimes the kids from the colony play outside the window while we work. We keep the fan going all day because the ground floor stays a bit humid. Finding us is easy once you get into the colony gates. Just look for the number 7. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking schedules. People from the nearby blocks come in to ask about their trips. It’s a very local way of doing things. We know most of the families living in the building. It’s not about being the biggest agency, it’s just about being here in Deonar for the people who need to get somewhere. We keep our calendars on the wall and a map of the city too. It is a simple life in Room 7. We just take it one day at a time.
