Our place is over at 17-96 in Malad East, right on that 100 Feet Ring Road. It gets pretty loud with all the cars and bikes zooming past, but you get used to the noise after a few weeks. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a regular engineering spot with a heavy iron shutter. We spend most of our time out back where the real work happens. It’s dusty and there’s always a smell of cutting oil in the air, but that’s how an engineering workshop should be, I think. We don't do much in the way of fancy offices. There’s a small table where we keep the ledger and the phone, and that’s about it. Most of the space is taken up by the lathes and the materials we need for the day's tasks. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat or ask for a small tool, and we don't mind. It’s a local vibe here. We’ve seen the road change over the years, more buildings going up and the traffic getting worse, but we just keep doing what we’ve always done. We don't use big words to describe our work. We just take the metal, follow the specs, and try to make sure nothing breaks. It’s practical work for practical people. No need to make it more complicated than it is.
