Shriram Gearboxes Pvt. Ltd. has its office at Number 4 in the Sidhpura Industrial Estate. We are right on S.V. Road in Goregaon West, not far from the Patel petrol pump. Goregaon is a busy place, and S.V. Road is always packed with cars and buses. Our workshop is where all the real action happens. We deal with gearboxes of all kinds. It’s heavy work and it’s definitely greasy. You won’t find any shiny furniture or fancy carpets in our office. It’s more about the metal and the oil and the sound of the lathes running. We’ve been at this location for a good while. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit as new buildings go up around the old industrial estate. But inside our doors, things stay pretty much the same. We have a few guys here who know gears inside and out. We don’t have a mission statement or any of those corporate slogans. We just focus on making sure the gears work the way they are supposed to. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a big order, and we’ll order some food and keep going until it’s done. It’s a tough business sometimes, especially with the competition, but we have our regular customers who have been coming to us for years. They know we are honest and that we don’t try to overcomplicate things. It’s just how we operate.
