Shripad Engineering Works

We are located in the Shiv Shakti Industrial Estate on Delisle Road, unit 213. It’s a busy building with a lot of different small workshops all crammed together. Shripad Engineering Works is a place where we do a lot of heavy lifting and metalwork. The elevator in the building is often broken or stuck, so we end up carrying things up the stairs more than we’d like. Our space is filled with tools, welding equipment, and stacks of raw materials. It’s pretty noisy when the machines are running, and you have to yell to be heard over the grinders. We’ve been at this location for many years. We know the other shop owners in the estate quite well and we sometimes borrow tools from each other. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. People come to us when they need something fixed or fabricated. The walls are covered in soot and grease, and even the door handle feels a bit oily, which is just part of the job. We have a small table where we eat our lunch together every afternoon, usually while looking at the new drawings. It’s a tough environment, but we’re used to the heat and the smell of burnt metal. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get the work done right so the customers are satisfied.
