About Shri Saibaba Flower Stall – Event & Planning in Mumbai
The stall is located on Sama Savli Road in Sakinaka. It’s not a fancy building or anything, just Shri Saibaba Flower Stall, a regular spot on the side of the road. I’ve been working here for years, and I’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Sakinaka is always moving, always loud, and we’re right in the middle of it. I start my day really early to get the best picks from the market before the sun gets too hot. By the time most people are heading to work, I’m already covered in pollen and thorns. It’s a small space, so I have to be careful how I stack the buckets so they don't tip over onto the sidewalk. I don’t have a website or any of that fancy technology. I just stand here, trim the roses, and talk to whoever walks up. Some people want a single flower, some want a whole bunch for a ceremony or a temple visit. I just give them what I have. The dust from Sama Savli Road can be a problem, so I’m constantly wiping down the leaves with a damp cloth to keep them looking bright and healthy. It’s hard on the feet, standing on the pavement all day long, but I like being outdoors and seeing all the regulars pass by. We don’t do anything special, just keep the flowers hydrated and wait for the next customer. It’s a basic way to make a living, but it works for me and the people around this part of town. I like it.
