You can find us at the Shri Laxmi Bai Chal in Majaswadi. We’ve been here in Jogeshwari East for quite some time now. The Shri Sai Ganesh Masala Centre is really just a small shop that serves the local community. Living and working in a chawl means you know everyone and everyone knows you. It’s a very close-knit place. We spend our days grinding spices and mixing masalas. The noise of the grinder is something you just get used to after a while. It’s a dusty job, but we don't mind. We take pride in the fact that our neighbors trust us for their daily cooking needs. We don't have fancy packaging or a big website. Most of our sales happen right over the counter with a bit of small talk about the weather or the local train schedules. The space is small, so we have to be clever about where we put everything. Buckets of turmeric, bags of chilies, and jars of blended powders are stacked up to the ceiling. Sometimes it’s hard to move around, but it’s our home. We keep the prices fair because we know the people here work hard for their money. We’re just a local family business trying to make a living and providing a service that people need. It’s not always easy, especially when it’s humid, but we show up every morning and open the shutters. We enjoy being a part of this busy little corner of Majaswadi.
