Shri Krishna Stores

Shri Krishna Stores is sitting right on the ground floor of Krishna Kunj on Liberty Garden Road in Chembur. Local folks know the spot well. Our shop isn't a huge place, but we try to keep the shelves packed with whatever people might need. Day-to-day, it’s mostly just a steady flow of neighbors coming in for their groceries. Opening time is early, and we usually don't pull the shutters down until late in the evening. Since the building is an older one, it has that specific Chembur character to it. Being on the ground floor means there's always something to see out on the street. Most of the people walking in are regulars we’ve known for years. Every now and then, the traffic on the main road gets so bad that our delivery guys get stuck, which makes things a bit difficult. You won't find any bright neon signs or fancy displays here. It’s just simple wooden counters and bags of items stacked up where they fit. Our ceiling fan has a bit of a wobble, but it does enough to keep the air moving. It really feels like we are part of the community in this corner of the city. We spend our time packing bags, handling the till, and watching the kids grow up. It’s a pretty quiet life of just keeping the stock high and the floor swept every single day.
