We have been running this place from 14/A,11 Chembur Millers Road for a while now. Most days it is just us answering the phones and trying to get the car schedules right for everyone. Chandralayam is a busy spot and the Postal Colony area always has something going on outside our door. It gets quite loud sometimes with the traffic, but we are used to it by now. People come in asking about bus tickets or wanting to rent a vehicle for a family trip. We just sit at the desks and look at the maps or the computer screens to see what is available. It is a small office, nothing too fancy, just some chairs and the files stacked up on the side. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a break. Usually, we are just focusing on making sure the drivers know where they are going and that the timings don't get messed up. It is a lot of coordination, really. Some days are slow and we just chat about the weather or the local news in Chembur. Other days, like during the holidays, it feels like we can't even get a minute to breathe. We just keep the doors open and do what needs doing. It is mostly about keeping track of the keys and the logbooks. We don't spend much time decorating because there is always work to finish before heading home in the evening.
