Shree Sai Kishor Travels

Our travel shop is located on the ground floor of a building right on M G Road. Being on the ground floor is very convenient because people can just wander in off the street without having to look for an elevator or climb any stairs. M G Road is always humming with activity, so there is never a dull moment. We have a large glass window in the front where we put up some notices about different travel routes. Inside, it’s a fairly basic setup with a couple of desks and some cupboards for our files. We have a ceiling fan that wobbles a little, but it keeps the air moving on hot days. Most of our day is spent talking to people who walk in or answering the phone that sits on the main desk. We don’t have a lot of fancy technology; we still like using our paper ledgers for some things. There is a tea stall just a few doors down, so we often have a cup of chai while we are working on schedules. It’s a very open and friendly place. We know the other shopkeepers on the block, and we often chat with them during the slower parts of the afternoon. We don’t put much effort into marketing or being corporate. We just open up the shutters every morning and wait to see who needs help with their travels. It’s a simple, local business and we like being right in the heart of the action.
