Shobiz Event Solutions is based in Room 19/B at the Sathi Co-operative Society in Mahada. This is in the Andheri West part of Mumbai. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy Andheri can be. Our office is inside a regular residential society, which makes it feel very grounded. It’s flat number 78. We have been here for quite some time now, handling event setups and all the logistics that go with them. It’s often a mess of papers and samples and phone chargers everywhere. We work long hours, especially when there’s a show coming up. The building doesn't have a grand entrance, but it’s our home base. We spend most of our time on our feet or on the phone, trying to make sure everything for an event is exactly where it should be. Sometimes we take our laptops to the local tea shop because it gets too stuffy inside. We’ve got a small crew that has seen it all, from rain-delayed setups to last-minute changes. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just make sure events happen. It’s a lot of manual coordination and making sure the trucks arrive on time. It’s honest work and it gets tiring, but we’re used to the pace of this city. Being in a co-operative society means we know our neighbors and try not to make too much noise when we leave late.
