We are located at Metal House, 182, Kalbadevi Road. If you know Mumbai, you know how crowded this street gets. We are right opposite the Cotton Exchange, which is a landmark everyone recognizes. Being in an old building like Metal House has its charms and its headaches. The stairs are narrow and there’s always someone hauling boxes up or down. Our office is right in the thick of it. You can hear the horns honking and the shouting of the street vendors all day long. It’s the kind of place where history is built into the walls. We’ve been operating from here for a long time, and while it might be cramped, it puts us right where the action is in the metal and engineering trade. There isn't much space for a fancy lobby. We have desks piled with papers and samples of whatever we are working on at the moment. Most of the time, we are busy on the phone or talking to people who walk in from the market. It’s a fast-paced environment and you have to be quick on your feet. The heat in the afternoon can be tough, but the old ceiling fans keep things moving. We don't bother with much corporate style because that's not what Kalbadevi is about. It’s about grit and getting the job done. We’re just one of many businesses here making things happen every day.
