Shalini Travels

Our office is set up in House No 7 at Mukund Apartment in Andheri West. We’re near the MIDC area and the Andheri West railway station, so there’s always a lot of movement nearby. The address can be a bit confusing for some because of the way the roads are laid out, but once you find Mukund Apartment, we’re right there. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking schedules on the computer. It’s a small room with a couple of desks and some old calendars on the wall. We started this because we liked the idea of helping people get where they need to go without too much trouble. It isn't a big travel agency with posters of the world everywhere. It’s more of a local spot where we handle the details that people don't want to deal with themselves. Sometimes the traffic around the station is so bad that our drivers have to take long detours, and we have to coordinate all that on the fly. We’ve got a lot of files and maps tucked into the drawers. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is. The station noise is always there in the background, a constant reminder of how busy the city is. We just try to keep things moving as smoothly as possible. We’re usually here late, making sure the morning pickups are all set and the drivers know where to go.
