Shalimar Ice Creams

We have been sitting here at Shalimar Ice Creams for quite some time now, right on the Ring Road in Goregaon West. If you know the Teen Dongri area or Subhash Nagar, you probably pass by us without thinking much about it. It gets really dusty out there with all the traffic, so we spend a lot of time just wiping down the counters and making sure the fridge stays cold enough. Honestly, the electricity can be a bit tricky sometimes, but we manage. People stop by when they’re headed home or just need something cold because the Mumbai heat doesn't really let up. It’s just me and a couple of others here most days. We don't have any fancy seating or anything like that, just the basic stuff you'd expect from a local spot. Sometimes the Gane area gets really crowded, especially in the evenings when everyone is out. We just keep the stock moving and try to make sure we don't run out of the popular flavors before the weekend hits. It’s a simple living, nothing too complicated. We see the same faces every week, mostly neighbors or guys working nearby who just want a quick break. I guess that’s just how things go around here. We open up early to get things ready and stay late until the street quietens down a bit. It is what it is.
