It’s not a big shop with a counter and stools; it’s more of a production spot where we keep the freezers running all day and night. Malad gets incredibly hot, so being in the ice cream business means we spend a lot of time making sure the electricity doesn't go out. It’s a small room, and it gets pretty cramped when we have a lot of stock ready to go out. We started this because we liked making something that people actually enjoy, especially when the sun is beating down on Road No. 2. Most of our neighbors know the smell of the stuff we make. It’s a lot of manual work, moving heavy containers and keeping everything clean. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. It’s just us in room 19, making sure the batch is cold and the flavor is right. Sometimes kids from the street come by hoping for a sample. We’ve been in this little corner of Bhadran Nagar for years. It’s a bit tucked away, but we like it that way. Shri Ram Ice Creams is just a local Malad business doing its thing in a small room. It’s hard work, but seeing someone eat an ice cream we made is pretty good.
