Shack 66

Shack 66 is located over at the Breach Candy Swimming Bath Trust on Bhulabhai Desai Road. We are at number 66, right across from Amarsons. It’s a pretty well-known spot in Mumbai. Being by the water and the pool means we have a specific rhythm to our day. We aren't a big, cold restaurant. It’s more of a relaxed place where the breeze comes through. We spend our time managing the tables and making sure the kitchen stays on top of things. It’s not always perfect. Sometimes the wind blows things around or we have a rush of people all at once after a swim. We just handle it as it happens. Our staff has been around for a while, and we know how the place runs. We don't use fancy titles or have big corporate meetings. We just talk about what needs to be done for the day. Being in Breach Candy is nice, but it’s still hard work. There’s a lot of cleaning to do because of the salt air and the constant foot traffic. We just try to keep the atmosphere easygoing. If you’re looking for us, look for the sign near the swimming trust. We’re usually there from morning until the evening, just keeping things moving. It’s a simple spot with a good view, and we like it that way.
