Shaan Travels

Shaan Travels sits at 167 D N Road in the Sant Tukaram Nagar area, right across from the main CST Station in Fort Mumbai. This part of the city never really stops moving. There are always crowds of people coming off the trains and the sound of taxis honking right outside our door. Our office is small and filled with the sound of phones ringing and people asking about bus schedules or car rentals. We spend most of the day talking to drivers and making sure they know where they are supposed to be. It is a lot of coordination. Because we are in Fort, the space is a bit cramped but we make it work. We have some old maps on the wall and a lot of notebooks where we write down the bookings. Sometimes the air is thick with the smell of street food from the vendors nearby. People stop in because they are lost or they need a way to get to the airport. We just tell them the prices and the times. We do not have any fancy brochures or a big waiting room. There are just a few chairs and a lot of talk about routes and traffic. Working at 167 D N Road means we are right in the middle of everything. It can be exhausting with the noise, but it is where we have always been. We just keep track of the vehicles and try to keep things on time as best as we can.
