Shaadi Sakhi Art Gallery

You can find us at Shop No. 8 in the Shrirang Building, which is right across from the Bank of Baroda on Chandawarkar Road. This part of Matunga East is always full of people, especially with the bank being right there. Shaadi Sakhi Art Gallery is a small place but we have a lot packed into it. We spend most of our time organizing the art and making sure the shop looks decent for anyone who stops by. Matunga East has a specific feel to it and we think our gallery fits in well with the local vibe. It’s not a huge museum or anything, just a local art gallery where we keep things simple. Sometimes the traffic on Chandawarkar Road gets a bit loud, but inside the shop, it’s usually okay. We don’t have a big marketing team or a lot of staff. It’s just a few of us here every day. We open up in the morning and see who comes in. Most of the people who visit are just locals walking by after finishing their work at the bank or the nearby shops. We like being part of the neighborhood. The Shrirang Building is an older place, but it has character. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just have art and we show it to people. That’s pretty much the whole story of our shop. We are just here doing our thing.
