Sh Donut Empier

The shop, Sh Donut Empier, is over in Ghatkopar 1. We have been here for a bit now, just doing our thing with the donuts every morning. It is not a very big place, so if three or four people come in at once, it starts feeling a little cramped. We usually start quite early because the dough takes time to sit and rise properly before we can even think about frying anything. Some days the flour gets everywhere, on the floor and our clothes, but that is just how it goes when you work with bread and sugar. Most of the people who stop by are living nearby or just passing through on their way to work. They usually grab a couple of donuts in a paper bag and head out. We don’t have fancy seating or anything like that, just a counter and the smell of oil and sugar hanging in the air. Sometimes the machine acts up and we have to fix it ourselves while customers wait, which can be a bit stressful. But usually, things run okay. We just try to keep the trays full until we run out for the day. Ghatkopar 1 is a busy spot so there is always noise from the street coming through the door. It feels like a regular part of the neighborhood now. We don't do much advertising, just keep the lights on and the donuts ready for whoever walks in.
