Seventhdigit Production Studio is basically run out of a small room in the Bhandup West area. To be very exact, it’s Room No. 1 in Darekar Chawl, which is part of Jaivanti Niwas on Bhattipada Road. It’s a very local, down-to-earth setup. It isn't anything like those huge, expensive studios you see in the fancy parts of the city. Anoop Kumar is the one running things here. We are located right in the middle of a very busy and loud residential neighborhood. The chawl has its own daily rhythm. You can hear kids playing cricket outside and neighbors chatting all the time. It’s a bit of a walk to get here from the main road, but we’ve grown to like the spot. We do our production work on a fairly small scale. Most of our editing equipment takes up a lot of the available space in the room, so it feels a bit cramped when more than two people are inside. But it works fine for what we need. We've been in Bhandup for a long time. The address is a bit of a mouthful to write down on forms, but once you find Bhattipada Road, you can just ask anyone for the Darekar family. Everyone in the lane knows everyone else. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a coffee machine for guests. If we want a chai, we just walk down to the stall at the end of the road. It’s honest, daily work for us.
