You can find our optical shop over in Bapu Nagar, specifically in the Poonam Vihar Society area of Ahmedabad. We’ve been serving the local community here for a while now. It’s a small place, but we keep it packed with all sorts of frames and lenses. People come in when their glasses break or when they realize they can't see the signs on the road as well as they used to. We spend a lot of time adjusting frames so they sit right on someone’s nose. It’s a bit of a tricky job sometimes because everyone’s face is different. The shop is usually quiet, except for the sound of someone trying on different pairs and looking in the mirror. We don’t have a big corporate team; it’s just a few of us making sure everything is handled correctly. Ahmedabad can get very dusty, so we are constantly cleaning the display cases and the lenses. We’ve seen kids come in for their first pair of glasses and then come back years later as adults. It’s nice to see familiar faces from the neighborhood. We don’t do much advertising; we just rely on people telling their neighbors about us. If someone needs a quick repair or a screw replaced, they just drop in. We try to be helpful and get them back to seeing clearly. It’s a simple, steady business that focuses on the practical side of things.
