Our office is tucked away in Vakola, right over on Pune Linesantacruz East. If you know Mumbai at all, you know how hectic this area can get, especially with the airport so close by. We have been working out of this spot in 400055 for some time now, dealing with property papers and investment stuff. It isn’t a large place, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint if we ever got around to it. Most days are spent on the phone or looking at documents. There is a lot of noise from the street outside, but we’ve gotten used to the sound of horns and engines. We handle the usual things that come with property and viniyog work. People come in with questions about land or where to put their money, and we sit down and talk it through. It’s practical work. We don’t have those fancy glass partitions you see in the new offices downtown. Just desks, some old filing cabinets that sometimes stick, and a lot of tea being drunk throughout the afternoon. It is mostly a local operation. The neighborhood knows us, and we know the people living around here. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when too many people show up at once, but we manage. We just keep things moving, trying to help folks figure out their paperwork without making it more complicated than it already is.
