We are a small team working on various building projects across the city. The office is usually full of maps and project schedules pinned to the walls. It’s not a polished corporate space, just a place where we sit down to work through the details of our builds. Sometimes the elevator in the arcade acts up, so we end up taking the stairs. We spend our days talking to contractors and trying to keep everything on schedule, which is harder than it sounds in this city. There are always permits to file and inspections to worry about. We just take it one day at a time. It’s a lot of hard work and sometimes we stay late to finish things up. Most of us have been in the construction business for a long time. We aren’t looking to be the biggest, just to do our work properly and keep things moving. It’s noisy and a bit crowded, but that’s just how it goes here in the arcade. We’ve got a small balcony but it’s mostly just for storage. The street below is always full of people.
