Satguru General Store

Satguru General Store has been sitting here on Fort Soukya Road in Samethanahally for a good while now. It is just a regular shop where we keep the shelves filled with things people actually use every day. You know how it is, someone forgets salt or needs some soap, and they just walk over. The morning starts early around here because the local workers need their stuff before the sun gets too high. We spend a lot of time unpacking boxes and making sure nothing is out of date. It isn't a fancy place with bright lights or loud music, just a simple counter and rows of jars. Samethanahally 1 is a quiet enough spot, but our corner stays busy. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late and we have to tell people to come back in an hour. We try to remember what the regulars like so we don't run out of their favorite tea or biscuits. It is mostly just one of us behind the till while the other organizes the back room. There is always dust to wipe off and floors to sweep because the road outside brings in a lot of grit. We don't do much advertising because people already know where we are. It’s just work, really. Keeping things moving and making sure the neighbors have what they need for their kitchens. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when it's slow and watch the traffic go by.
