Sarvi Restaurant

We are right in the heart of Mumbai Central, specifically on Dimtikar Road. Our address is 184/196 near the Mariamma Temple. It’s a very busy part of the city, especially being right opposite the Nagpada Police Station. You can hear the sirens and the city noise all day long. We’ve been here for years, serving the local community and people passing through the 400008 area. It’s a bit of an old building, but it has character. We don’t have fancy air conditioning or posh interiors, just the basics. People come here for the food, not the decor. The kitchen starts early because there is always prep work to do. My father started this and now we just keep it going as best as we can. Mumbai is a fast place, but inside here, things feel a bit more traditional. We have our regulars who have been coming since they were kids. It gets very crowded during peak hours, and you might have to share a table with a stranger. That’s just how it works in this part of town. We don’t mind the chaos; it’s what we know. The staff knows exactly what to do even when it’s hectic. We just keep serving what we know how to make. It’s a simple life running a restaurant in Mumbai Central. We don't bother with fancy advertisements or signs. People know where we are. We just keep the doors open and the stove going from morning until the night ends.
