Our office is tucked away in Marol, specifically at B/401. Sarita Travels Pvt Ltd has been running from this spot for quite some time. It's a bit of a climb if you're coming by foot, but it's quiet enough to get work done. We handle a lot of local travel arrangements and some further out ones too. It’s mostly just a few desks and a lot of registers filled with dates and names. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. My cousin helps out with the accounts sometimes when things get overwhelming. Most days involve answering the same questions about bus timings or flight prices, which is fine because that’s the job. We try to be straight with people about what’s available. If a flight is delayed or a route is blocked, we let them know as soon as we hear about it. There’s no point in sugarcoating things when someone has a schedule to keep. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the chairs are a little squeaky, but it works for us. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, yet we’re still here doing the same stuff. It’s honest work, helping people get their travel plans sorted without too much fuss. Sometimes the coffee machine breaks down, which makes for a long afternoon, but we usually find a way to stay awake and get the files sorted. It's just how we do things here.
