Milan General Store

Milan General Store is our little shop. We are at Shop No. 1 on Road No 2. This is in the Sunder Nagar area of Santacruz East, Kalina. We have been here for a long time. It’s a basic general store. We sell the things people need every day. You know, bread, eggs, soap, and stuff like that. It’s a neighborhood place. People stop by on their way home from work. We know who likes which brand of tea. It’s not a supermarket. We don’t have carts or aisles. You just ask for what you want and we get it from the shelf. Sometimes it gets busy in the evenings. Kalina is a crowded spot with lots of people living in small spaces. We are part of that. We see the same faces every morning. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just have the shop and the items on the shelves. Road No 2 is usually quiet except for the local traffic. We have boxes stacked up because space is tight. It’s a simple way to live. We open early to catch the people going to work. We stay open late for those coming back. It’s a lot of standing around but we like talking to the neighbors. Sunder Nagar is a good place for a store like ours. We just keep the shelves full.
