Being in the Gidc Industrial Estate in Powai means we are surrounded by a lot of other businesses and workshops. Sankalpan Infrastructure Pvt Ltd is located in Unit 304. It’s a practical space. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just a few calendars on the walls and some photos of old projects we finished years ago. The air conditioning unit is a bit loud, but we need it when the afternoon sun hits the windows. We spend our days looking at plans and talking to contractors on the phone. It’s a lot of coordination. Sometimes things go wrong on a site, and we have to figure out a solution quickly. We aren't a corporate giant; we are just a team of people who know how buildings go together. The industrial estate can be a bit dusty and loud with all the trucks moving in and out, but it’s the right place for what we do. We usually eat lunch together at a small table in the corner. It’s mostly home-cooked food brought in tiffins. We don't have a fancy website or a big sign out front. People just find us through the address or because they’ve worked with us before. It’s a steady pace of work. We get in, do the job, and head home to our families. That’s really all there is to it. The metal shutters at the entrance can be a bit sticky in the monsoon, but we've learned the trick to opening them.
