Our place is located right inside the Mathurdas Mill Compound in Parel. It is one of those old Mumbai spots that has changed a lot over the years. We occupy unit 126. If you know Parel, you know how these old mill areas are, full of character and very busy during work hours. We deal with engineering stuff, mostly small parts and repairs. The building is old but it holds up well. There is usually a lot of noise coming from the other units too, so it is a lively atmosphere to work in every day. We have a small team here. Most of us have been working together for a long time now. We don't have any flashy signs or a big reception area. You just walk in and you see the lathes and the tools spread out on the benches. It can get a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have some fans going to keep the air moving. We get a mix of local factory orders and some walk-in jobs. Dealing with the logistics in this part of the city can be a headache sometimes because of the narrow lanes and the trucks, but we make it work. It's just a regular workshop doing what we know how to do, nothing more to it really. We like the history of the mill compound and being part of the local industry here. It keeps us grounded.
