Saifee-Burhani Mart

Saifee-Burhani Mart is located right on Station Road, very close to the old Nav Jeevan Mill. We are on the ground floor of The New Royal Apartment, so we get a lot of people from the building coming in at all hours. Being near the station means there is a constant flow of commuters, especially during the morning and evening rush. It gets pretty loud with all the horns and the people talking outside, but you get used to it after a few weeks. The shop itself is filled with all sorts of things that people might need in a hurry. We spend a lot of our time unpacking crates and trying to find space on the shelves for new stock. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, but we make it work. The residents of the apartment are like neighbors to us, and we often end up chatting about the weather or the local news while they are checking out. It’s not a fancy supermarket, just a local mart where we try to keep the basics in stock. We stay open pretty late to make sure anyone coming home from a long shift can still grab what they need. It’s a lot of work and our backs usually ache by the end of the day, but it’s a good feeling to be a part of the daily routine here. We just take it day by day.
